Compadre Records StoreCompadre Records, established in September 2001, produces quality non-traditional music to consumers worldwide. It began with one compilation record, Texas Road Trip, and one employee. Texas Road Trip included 20 previously released and unreleased tracks from regional artists such as Robert Earl Keen, Jack Ingram, Cory Morrow, and Kevin Fowler, among others. After Texas Road Trip, Compadre Records released its second record, Brewed in Texas, another compilation, in March 2002. Again focusing on regional artists, Brewed in Texas debuted its first week on the Billboard Country sales chart. Since formally announcing the creation of Compadre Records, we have been able to sign legendary artists such as Billy Joe Shaver, Flaco Jimenez, James McMurtry, Kevn Kinney, and Suzy Bogguss, and have released over 25 records.
